I hurt my back a couple weeks ago, and while I was hurting for a few days, it lessened off to just mild discomfort. I still didnt want to injure myself further, so all projects got put on hold.
Saturday morning, the owner/operator of the scrapyard called me. To see if I was ok. Told him the story, and he said he got something in I might want to look at before it gets shredded. I headed down there yesterday, and he picked up some early 50's chevy truck, half a dozen hoods, and equal amounts of doors and fenders.
He knows I'm slapping together a rat rod out of an old s10. I was just gonna use the original cab, but I think I like this more. Its bound to be a lot more work, but its free, so it might be worth it. Its actually got less rust than the s10 cab, but zero interior, and I'd have to install pedals. Everything is solid, no glass except the doors, no motor or trans.

Not much there other than the cab, but the price is right.

Man, I wish I had the room for stuff like that, the time to work on the projects I have already, let alone cool stuff like that, and junkyard friends.
